This is the eighth puzzle we have commissioned from the Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company, as a way of raising funds for the Central Council Bell Restoration Fund. John Taylor & Co have kindly given permission for this dramatic photograph to be reproduced from their website.
The Bell Restoration Fund’s income comes entirely from legacies, donations and interest, and the amount available varies significantly from year to year.
When funds are available, applications for grants are invited by notices in The Ringing World and on the website, generally in December or January. All available money is allocated in accordance with the criteria and priorities established by the Central Council.
Wentworth puzzles make an excellent gift. They challenge those who enjoy jigsaws that intrigue, frustrate and confuse! There are straight edges inside the puzzle and a set of fourteen industrial “whimsies” (so-called because Victorian puzzle cutters included them ‘on a whim’).
This wooden puzzle contains 250 pieces and measures: 250mm x 360mm (10″ x 14″).
