This year’s puzzle is inspired by my involvement with the Library committee. It has been more difficult than usual because I needed to be artistic, as well as reflecting the colour(s) of the book jackets, titles, authors names etc in a way to make a challenging jigsaw. “Discovering Bells & Bellringing” by John M F Camp has been printed with several different covers, but I chose “The Ringers of Launcells” because it features our first Wentworth puzzle.
The CC Bell Restoration Committee is grateful to the copyright holders and publishers and every effort has been made to contact them all.

This is the thirteenth in the series and we have ‘a following’, who buy a puzzle every year!
Wentworth puzzles make an excellent gift and this picture should inspire you to check your book-shelf for those you don’t have already. Beware – there are straight edges inside the puzzle and a set of book-related “whimsies” (so-called because Victorian puzzle cutters included them ‘on a whim’).
The proceeds will go to the CC Bell Restoration Fund, whose income comes entirely from legacies, donations, the sale of items such as these jigsaws and interest; the amount available varies significantly from year to year.
When funds are available, applications for grants are invited by notices in The Ringing World and on the CCCBR website. All available money is allocated in accordance with the criteria and priorities established by the Central Council.
