NOW SOLD OUT (14 December 2010)
The 2011 jigsaw puzzle is a photo of an unusual picture displayed at the British Society of Master Glass Painter’s exhibition in London. The picture was painted on acid etched antique glass and is entitled “Sonatis Deum Totus Orbis” or “Sing out the Lord, all the World”.
This is the ninth puzzle we have commissioned from the Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company, as a way of raising funds for the CC Bell Restoration Fund.
The Bell Restoration Fund’s income comes entirely from legacies, donations and interest, and the amount varies significantly from year to year.
When funds are available, applications for grants are invited by notices in The Ringing World and on the website www.ringingworld.co.uk. All available money is allocated in accordance with the criteria and priorities established by the Central Council (see: cccbr.org.uk/bellrestoration/fund/criteria/)
Wentworth puzzles make an excellent gift. They challenge those who enjoy jigsaws that intrigue, frustrate and confuse! There are straight edges inside the puzzle and, this year, cathedral-cut “whimsies” (so-called because Victorian puzzle cutters included them ‘on a whim’).
This wooden puzzle contains 200 pieces and measures: 250mm x 250mm (9.75″ x 9.75″).
