Truro Cathedral bells re-interpreted

truro

This is the 10th puzzle we have commissioned from the Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Company, as a way of raising funds for the CC Bell Restoration Fund.

Truro Cathedral has kindly given permission for this exciting banner made by pupils of Penair School, in conjunction with Cloth of Gold, to be reproduced as a puzzle.

Cloth of Gold is an arts organisation based in London and Cornwall that runs collaborative arts projects and commissions exploring traditions and new creative technologies. It is also a charity and prides itself on combining active participation with impressive outcomes.

Their courses explore the use of image manipulation software, basic multimedia and video editing programmes with an emphasis upon overcoming technical blocks and barriers to make Art & *ICT learning processes accessible to everyone. Practical hands-on sessions link new technology to traditional art processes making the best use of existing ICT resources within schools to develop creative ideas. *Information & Communication Technology

The Bell Restoration Fund’s income comes entirely from legacies, donations and interest, and the amount available varies significantly from year to year.

When funds are available, applications for grants are invited by notices in The Ringing World and on the website, generally in December or January. All available money is allocated in accordance with the criteria and priorities established by the Central Council.

Wentworth puzzles make an excellent gift. They challenge those who enjoy jigsaws that intrigue, frustrate and confuse! There are straight edges inside the puzzle and a set of fourteen industrial “whimsies” (so-called because Victorian puzzle cutters included them ‘on a whim’).

This wooden puzzle contains 250 pieces and measures: 250mm x 360mm (10″ x 14″). It is available by cheque payable to: CCCBR at £23 +£3 p+p within the UK from Stella Bianco, Oaklands, West Chiltington Lane, Broadford Bridge, Billingshurst RH14 9EA Email: (email)
