BBC Music Day 2016

BBC Music Day calls for ringers to get involved with an ambitious plan for bells to ring out simultaneously at 7pm on Friday 3rd June

The second BBC Music Day aims to celebrate and showcase music within communities and the theme his year is collaboration.

Coverage is planned from 6am to 12am, with involvement from the majority of BBC services.

Church bells are a wonderful symbol of community cohesion and since BBC Music Day is all about uniting people through music, bell ringing is going to provide a wonderful unifying moment on the day. The aim is to have as many bells as possible ringing out across the UK from our cities, towns and villages, all at the same time – 7pm on Friday 3rd June.

If you are able take part please email Miriam Williamson.
